Long Live My Sexy Karma

Rock my electric World! Fisker company is building one sexy hybrid. I admit shape remind on Maserati Quattroporte, but Hey nothing against it. This car is SEXY. Electric sexy. And actually have great interior and comfort for 4 passengers, plus specious trunk. As claimed on website, Karma will drive 50miles on electric engine only. Overnight charge and your average commuting to work in this masterpiece will be emission free. As it’s hybrid, your trip can be extended on normal fuel. With claim of 0-100 in 6 seconds and speed of over 200km/h it would be great ride on any day.

Fisker hybrid system is called Q DRIVE and claim to allow average city computer in Europe to fill car with gasoline only once a year. Of course you’ll have to plan your driving holiday differently – maybe stop every 50miles or just burn some fuel? I wouldn’t mind running some fuel in this machine. Yes, it would made me a bit guilty, but few times a year I will survive. Of course barking will charge battery pack, as standard on all hybrids. Car will feature so called in-line process - small fuel engine will power electric motoring (if needed) and power will go to rear wheels. Overnight charge in normal household power point will give enough juice to battery pack to drive around 50 miles without using fuel engine at all. But if you switch to sport mode, car will use all available power to accelerate.

First models are expected to be shifted to customers in 2010. For now, limited edition of first few cars is sold out, but Fisker is taking $1,000 deposit for ‘standard’ model to be delivered in second half of 2010. For sure worth waiting. Whole car is estimated to cost of US$80,000 but you better email or ring them to confirm. Maybe you want some extra options as full solar cell roof (even look sexy).

But biggest surprise for me was interior. Look more like concept car then real thing. But it is real. Not only breakthrough in technology, Karma is amazing in every aspect of design. Enjoy in few photos below. For more details check official website www.fiskerautomotive.com.
